Twenty year commercial real estate veteran Brian Owendoff has joined Capacity Commercial Group as Senior Vice President and will lead a new Real Estate Specialty Practice that will focus on Multifamily, Student Housing and commercial real estate development consulting and construction management services. Owendoff will provide an array of advisory services to help owners, occupiers, developers and financial institutions make better real estate decisions across all product types.

Brian has extensive and diverse experience in prior leadership positions with three of the largest full service real estate companies in the U.S. (Duke Realty Corp., Opus Northwest and CBRE), and has developed a thorough understanding of the entire real estate development and construction process through involvement in over $1 billion of commercial real estate development and leasing. He has completed in excess of seven million feet of real estate development, construction and leasing in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio and Portland, Oregon across all product types. This experience includes $185 million in development in Portland, including Ladd Tower (332 unit high rise apartment) on the Park Blocks, Park 19 (101 unit midrise apartment) in the Alphabet District and office build to suit for the Oregon Bar Association.

Brian will leverage his national relationships to bring new developers, owners, tenants and capital sources into Greater Portland to respond to market demand as economic conditions improve and demand increases for real estate.

A frequent speaker to business and industry, Mr. Owendoff is active in the community and has served on numerous commercial real estate, economic development and non-profit boards. Brian has been on the Board of Directors for Greenlight Greater Portland, NAIOP Portland, First Tee of Portland, Real Estate Center at Portland State University and Portland Business Alliance.

Owendoff is a 1991 graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has a Principal Brokers License for the State of Oregon, Broker Licenses for the State of Ohio, and pending Principal Broker License for the State of Washington. Brian and his wife have three children and reside in NW Portland.
